Debt recovery

Behind every unpaid invoice
is your business.

Debt recovery through negotiation, court proceedings and enforcement.Handling individual cases and large business receivables portfolios.

Handling multiple cases

Multiple debts.
A structured approach.

We provide high-volume legal debt recovery for businesses: payment demands, repayment negotiations, court proceedings and enforcement.

Documents and scope.

We agree how cases are transferred, the data needed and the scope of support. The starting point is the basis of the claims and the supporting documents.

Demands and proceedings.

We prepare demands, negotiate with debtors and represent clients in court and enforcement proceedings. We tailor our actions to the stage and circumstances of the case.

Contact and settlements.

We handle responses to demands and repayment proposals. Any settlement terms must be agreed with the creditor.

Integration with client systems.

Integration with client systems, such as accounting software, can enable new cases, invoices and debtor data to be imported automatically.

The scope of integration is agreed individually, taking account of the technical capabilities of the system concerned.

Possible stages

The right approach.
Not an automatic sequence.

Not every dispute needs to end in a lawsuit. We assess the documents, the stage of the case and the available options.

Documents and assessment.

Review of the grounds for the claim, previous correspondence and available documents. Discussion of objectives, costs and the risks of further action.

Demand, discussion, settlement.

Preparation of a payment demand, negotiations and work on a settlement — where this approach suits the client’s situation.

Court proceedings.

Preparation of a statement of claim and procedural documents, and conduct of payment proceedings where the claim needs to be taken to court.

Enforcement support.

Preparation of an enforcement application and legal support for the creditor during enforcement proceedings.

The choice of action depends on the circumstances of the case.
