Received a demand? / Case information

Let’s clarify the matter.
And agree the next step.

We represent the creditor named in the letter you received. You may ask about the debt, raise objections, confirm a payment or propose repayment.

Have your case reference or identification details ready, such as your KRS, NIP or PESEL number.

Choose your situation

Three ways to
clarify the matter.

I want to pay
or propose instalments.

Confirm the current balance and bank details. To propose instalments, specify amounts and dates you can meet.

Settlement terms require the creditor’s approval. Sending a proposal does not mean it has been accepted.

Submit a proposal

The debt has
already been paid.

Provide the case reference, payment date and amount. Agree how to supply proof of payment so the firm can verify the balance.

Do not send your account history or information about unrelated transactions.

Report a payment

I dispute
the claim.

Explain your objections: whether they concern the grounds for the claim, the amount, the recipient’s identity or something else. Identify documents that may help clarify the matter.

The firm will review the objections submitted.

Submit objections

Important before paying

Verify first.
Then transfer.

Check the creditor, case reference, amount and account number stated in the correspondence you received. If in doubt, call the firm.

The account shown on the firm’s contact page is not intended for your debt repayments.Use payment details confirmed for your case — for example, in the payment demand.

If enforcement proceedings are underway, agree the current balance and the correct payment method. As a rule, payments at this stage should be made directly to the competent Polish court bailiff (komornik sądowy).

What comes next

The consequences depend
on the particular case.

Clarifying the matter and agreeing repayment may help avoid further disputes and costs. Not every demand leads to a lawsuit.

Interest.

Interest may be claimed for late payment. Reach a settlement after receiving the demand to avoid having to pay some or all of the interest.

Court proceedings.

Taking a claim to court may involve litigation costs. The court decides who must reimburse them in accordance with the applicable rules. Reach a settlement to avoid having to pay some or all of these costs.

Enforcement.

Once the legal requirements are met, the creditor may initiate enforcement proceedings. These may entail additional costs, such as bailiff fees, determined under the applicable rules. Reach a settlement to avoid having to pay some or all of these costs.

The possibility of reducing interest and costs depends on the settlement terms, the stage of the case and the applicable law. A settlement does not automatically cancel bailiff fees.
